Bolesławiec criminal investigators, as a result of operational activities, detained a 28-year-old Czech national suspected of drug offences, offences against property, possessing a firearm and using a forged document.
“During a search of a garage rented by the 28-year-old in Nowogrodziec Municipality, officers found 1,000 retail portions of drugs in the form of methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as various items and substances that could be used to produce psychoactive substances,” says asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. “In addition, the police secured a firearm and ammunition, documents, printers and laminators.”
Moreover, officers found marijuana in the vehicle driven by the 28-year-old. Further narcotic substances were secured during a search of the house and outbuildings used by the Czech national.
What is more, it emerged that, when concluding lease agreements for premises, the man used a forged identity card twice. A vehicle appropriated from a car rental company from… the Masovian Voivodeship was found in the rented garage.
Asp. szt. A. Kublik-Rościszewska: “In addition, the man was wanted by the Czech authorities under a European Arrest Warrant and by the District Court in Jelenia Góra.”
The man is a recidivist. The court remanded him in custody for three months.
The 28-year-old now faces a sentence of between one and as many as 15 years in prison.
