– The aim of the initiative was to train soldiers who would be assigned to provide medical support to the armed forces and public administration bodies in connection with the COVID-19 epidemic – says Captain Agnieszka Kozik of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec. – The training was attended by soldiers with medical education and those holding paramedic qualifications, assigned to provide medical support.

The training was organized to cover such topics as:

  • basic information about SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19
  • the use of personal protective equipment as part of preventing infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus
  • providing qualified first aid in a dangerous environment or one potentially threatened by the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus
  • principles for organizing the work of medical personnel.
