The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 1, in the afternoon, near a Lidl discount store in Bolesławiec, when a 34-year-old female Skoda driver, a resident of Bolesławiec County, was overtaking a cyclist. The cyclist then fell over—for reasons not yet established—and suffered an arm injury. He was taken to a hospital in Lubań.
The Skoda driver was sober, while the two-wheeled vehicle rider was drunk; he had a blood alcohol level of 1 per mille.
The police are investigating the matter.
