Bolesławiec police officers are carrying out intensive checks of places where people may gather as part of measures aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus. KPP Bolesławiec:
Over the past weekend, in Bolesławiec County, officers issued fines to 16 people who were outside their place of residence and were unable to provide a reasonable explanation for why they were not at home.
The officers add:
By failing to comply with the restrictions on movement, we endanger our own lives and health, as well as those of others!

Severe consequences will be imposed on people who fail to comply with quarantine orders. In such cases, police officers notify the sanitary services, which may impose a substantial fine. Police officers will conduct explanatory proceedings against such irresponsible individuals in connection with an offence under Article 116 of the Code of Petty Offences. The fine for such an offence may be as much as PLN 500.
In turn, if a person whose infection has been confirmed leaves the place where they are required to stay, they will be held liable under Article 161 of the Criminal Code. This crime is punishable by up to one year in prison.
What about business and premises owners?
KPP:
Owners of businesses and service, catering and retail premises who fail to comply with the restrictions imposed on them by the Regulation of the Minister of Health on declaring a state of epidemic threat in the Republic of Poland may be held liable under Article 165 of the Criminal Code or Article 54 of the Code of Petty Offences. The above crime is punishable by up to 8 years in prison, while the offence carries a fine of up to PLN 500.
