Together with State Police officers, the soldiers are securing border crossings in the border counties of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, preventing people seeking to bypass border and sanitary controls from moving across the border. Their tasks include conducting patrols, observation, and taking part in duty at posts.
On Wednesday, Deputy Commander of the Operational Commander of the Armed Forces gen. dyw. pil. Dariusz Malinowski and Deputy Commander of the 11th Armoured Cavalry Division gen. bryg. dr Dariusz Parylak were present in the area of operations conducted by soldiers of the 23rd Artillery Regiment. They familiarized themselves with the situation at the border points in Bogatynia, Kopaczów, Porajów and Krzewina.
During the meeting, Deputy Commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment Lt. Col. Marek Wasielewski and representative of the Border Guard Post in Zgorzelec Maj. SG Piotr Andrzejuk presented the current situation in the area and the activities undertaken jointly.
