Two tonnes of material have arrived in Bolesławiec. Disposable coveralls will be sewn from it. (The prototypes were tested by doctors).

The material, paid for by Powiat Bolesławiecki, was first delivered to the “Meduza” Garden Centre in Kruszyn, from where it will be transported to the Bolesławiec-based company Edir. The company can sew as many as 600–700 coveralls a day.

The daily demand for this type of coverall at the Bolesławiec County Hospital is around 100–300 garments, so surplus supplies could be sent to other healthcare facilities.

Powiat Bolesławiecki:

The nonwoven fabric is flexible, resistant to damage and provides a highly effective barrier against the penetration of viruses and bacteria.

On 19 March, 2 tonnes of nonwoven fabric were delivered to Bolesławiec. Eight tonnes are in storage. Continuity of further deliveries has also been secured, should the need arise.

Let us recall. We reported on the matter on Sunday, 15 March. “On Saturday, Starosta Gabrysiak and I came up with this idea,” Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman told istotne.pl. “The idea was passed on to the voivode and received his approval.”
