The incident occurred in Gromadka commune. “When police officers saw flashlight beams moving around inside a detached house in the darkness, they suspected that there might be criminals inside. After entering the building, they arrested two men who were just taking valuable property out of drawers in a chest of drawers,” says asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
She adds:
The arrested men were wearing backpacks that were already filled with various items. In addition, officers found tools prepared for the theft in two locations outside the building, as well as a backpack filled with porcelain dolls.
The suspects are residents of Gromadka commune, and both are 36 years old. The arrested men were charged with attempted burglary. They could face a sentence of between one and ten years in prison.
