Our actions were justified and fully professional. The woman has been isolated since yesterday. She will soon be taken to Wrocław again. The staff is in quarantine. The Emergency Department has been disinfected. There is no danger to people,” says Tomasz Kozieł, spokesperson for the Provincial Hospital in Legnica.
Let us recall that on Saturday morning, a patient suspected of being infected with coronavirus reported to the Emergency Department of the Provincial Specialist Hospital in Legnica. The woman had previously been abroad. The Legnica Emergency Department was temporarily closed at that time (because the patient was wrong to report there instead of going to the infectious diseases ward), and the woman was transported to the hospital on Koszarowa Street in Wrocław. The infectious disease specialists there ruled out an infection in the patient, and the woman returned to the hospital in Legnica. However, at the request of the Legnica doctors, samples were taken from the patient for coronavirus testing. As it turned out, they were right. The woman is carrying the virus.
