The first confirmed case of coronavirus infection has been recorded in Bolesławiec. The infected person is a woman in her 40s from Denmark. She was vacationing in Poland and staying at Czocha Castle (Lubań County).
She was admitted to the infectious diseases ward of the Bolesławiec hospital on Wednesday (11 March). The Bolesławiec hospital received the test results confirming coronavirus infection in the patient from Denmark at midnight on Friday (13 March).
All people who may have had contact with the woman have been placed under home quarantine.
The Ministry of Health reports that 104 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Poland so far. Three people have died. Thirteen people have recovered. There are 12 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Lower Silesia. Eleven people are hospitalized in hospitals in Wrocław, while one person (a Danish citizen) is in hospital in Bolesławiec.
