The coronavirus is spreading. The government has announced the introduction of a state of epidemic threat in Poland.

  1. The borders will be closed for the next 10 days. Polish citizens who decide to return to the country will be placed in 14-day quarantine. Foreigners will not be allowed in.
  2. Most shops in shopping centres will be closed. Grocery stores and banks will remain open. All service outlets will operate normally.
  3. Restaurants, pubs, clubs, bars and casinos are being closed.
  4. Public gatherings are limited to 50 people. This restriction is universal and applies to everyone, including churches.

“Shopping centres are not places for gathering, meeting or spending free time away from schools and universities. We still have a chance if we behave responsibly,” said Minister of Health Łukasz Szumowski.

“After crossing the border, Polish citizens will be sent into 14-day quarantine. They will not be left without assistance. All shops remain open. Banks and ATMs will not be closed. There will be no shortage of funds. From Saturday, we are limiting the operations of shopping centres, where all grocery stores, drugstores and pharmacies will remain open,” announced Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
