The artillerymen’s exercise—following an efficient and trouble-free relocation—was inaugurated by the commander of Bolesławiec’s 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, Colonel Grzegorz Potrzuski, who outlined the training objectives and the most important tasks to be carried out by the soldiers from Bolesławiec:
Today we are beginning a two-week training exercise at the training ground. It will be intensive training during which subunits, reinforced by reserve soldiers undertaking short-term military exercises, will carry out live-fire tasks using live ammunition.
Among other things, 2020 is the year of training for reserve soldiers. I instruct you to focus primarily on individual training activities and on preparing subunits, as well as commands and staffs, for the ANAKONDA-20 exercise with troops, which lies ahead in the near future.
He added:
I wish all soldiers taking part in the training the highest possible standard in carrying out and completing their tasks.
Immediately after the formation, the subunits began the training exercise at the training ground under the command of the deputy commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Marek Wasielewski.
