Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, who were conducting “Zone” operations together with the Military Police, used a cascading method to measure the speed of vehicles throughout Bolesławiec County. That day, a patrol from the SPEED group was also travelling on the roads.

This patrol stopped a 39-year-old driver who felt confident after passing two speed-measurement points. The driver did not anticipate that the SPEED officers were travelling right behind him.

The man sped through Osiecznica at 113 km/h. He was fined, received 10 penalty points, and had his driving licence confiscated for three months.

Officers:

The police appeal to drivers to ease off the accelerator. The weather can be highly changeable, and bright sunshine does not always mean a dry road surface, so speed limits should be obeyed and speed adjusted to the prevailing conditions.

Driving too fast means not only the risk of losing one’s driving licence, but also a serious threat to the safety of all road users.
