The duty officer at the Lubin District Police Headquarters was notified of a domestic dispute in one of the apartments in the Przylesie estate. At the scene, police officers found an intoxicated man and his partner. She stated that violence in their family had been ongoing for several months.
The woman added that when the 38-year-old is under the influence of alcohol, he becomes aggressive and starts arguments. He abuses her psychologically and physically, including by pushing, grabbing and humiliating her.
– During the intervention, the man was very agitated and aggressive; he shouted at his partner in the presence of the officers. The police established that the 38-year-old first threatened the woman at her workplace, and when she returned home, he started an argument in the apartment – says asp. szt. Sylwia Serafin, press officer of the Lubin District Police Headquarters. – Due to the man’s aggressive behavior, he was arrested and taken to a police cell. The evidence collected by investigators made it possible to charge the suspect with psychologically and physically abusing his wife.
The court remanded the 38-year-old in temporary custody for two months. The suspect could face between three months and as many as five years in prison.
