Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman has already received threats around 10 times, most recently even threats of death. As a result, additional security measures have been introduced at Bolesławiec City Hall.

There are, of course, surveillance cameras, as well as an alarm button that, when pressed, will bring a special response team. In addition, the entrances to the mayor’s secretary’s office and office have been secured. A secretary monitors who meets with the mayor. This is intended, among other things, to prevent people under the influence of alcohol or intoxicants from entering City Hall—something that has unfortunately happened before.

“This is not our final word,” Piotr Roman announces. “There will be further security measures.”

Let us recall that in mid-January we reported that a man entered the secretariat of the Bolesławiec City Hall and said:

I came to beat the mayor to death.

This was the second such incident in which the same man threatened Piotr Roman. Last summer, a similar incident occurred. At that time, the 50-year-old told the secretary that he would return another day, but this time with a gun, and... kill the official.

The matter was reported to law enforcement, but, as the mayor himself said in January, after the latest threat the court merely admonished the man.
