Officers from Bolesławiec and Kruszyn detained a 21-year-old man suspected of robbery. The crime took place on February 1, in the afternoon, in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality. The man approached a woman and asked her for the time. When she took out her mobile phone to check the time, the attacker knocked her over and stole the device.
“Analysis of the information gathered enabled the police to identify and detain the suspect in this case and recover the stolen mobile phone,” says Anna Kublik-Rościszewska from the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
The 21-year-old confessed to the crime. The court remanded him in temporary custody for three months.
As the detainee is a recidivist, he may face a sentence of between two and as many as eighteen years in prison.
