The meeting was attended by the Commander of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters, Insp. Norbert Kurenda, together with his first deputy, Supt. Jarosław Burdzy. The report was heard by the Deputy Commander of the Voivodeship Police Headquarters for prevention, Inspector Dariusz Wesołowski, as well as the heads of organizational units from throughout Bolesławiec County.
The officers’ difficult and responsible service is best illustrated by the figures:
- number of interventions: 13,764 – 2,687 more than in 2018
- road collisions in 2019: 1,304, 11 fewer than in 2018
- road accidents in 2019: 53, 10 fewer incidents
- people injured in road accidents: 58, 18 fewer
- fatalities: 19
- overall crime – number of preparatory proceedings initiated in 2019: 2,584; in 2018: 2,824
- criminal offenses – number of preparatory proceedings initiated in 2019: 1,993; in 2018: 2,243
- seven categories of crime – number of preparatory proceedings initiated in 2019: 972; in 2018: 1,027.
Major operations:
- a production line for narcotic substances dismantled
- a group attacking ATMs broken up
- the perpetrator of a shooting outside a nightclub arrested.
The police recovered various property worth more than PLN 1.5 million: cars, motorcycles, bicycles, coins, power tools and fishing equipment.
They seized large quantities of narcotic substances, including amphetamine, methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine and pseudoephedrine, which can be used to produce drugs.
The officers efficiently carried out three evacuations of residents after unexploded ordnance was found at the site of a shopping-center construction project.

As part of international cooperation, officers from Bolesławiec took part in two Polish-German projects focused on combating vehicle crime and a Polish-Czech project concerning the search for missing persons.
