At the new centre, it will be possible to take the category “B” driving test. The first examinations will begin as early as 27 January, and driving licence candidates were able to register for an examination from 21 January. Until the end of the month, examinations will be conducted by one examiner, with another joining from February. The branch will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Examinations, meanwhile, will take place daily (theoretical examinations at 7:30 and 8:30 a.m., and practical examinations from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.).

The theory test will be held in a room equipped with six computer stations. For practical examinations on the manoeuvring area, two examination stations have been prepared for the task: “Moving off and driving forwards and backwards along the traffic lane”, as well as one station for performing the manoeuvre: “Moving off forwards uphill”.

– As a voivodeship, Lower Silesia has the largest network of local WORD branches in Poland. The establishment of a new branch in Lubań will primarily benefit future drivers. They will gain easier access to examination services, closer to their place of residence, and I therefore hope they will be more willing to take their driving tests. I wish all future drivers success and keep my fingers crossed for them – says Cezary Przybylski, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

The establishment of the Legnica WORD local branch in Lubań was made possible through cooperation between the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the Mayor of Lubań, in close cooperation with the Starost of Lubań County and the Director of WORD in Legnica.

From the Editorial Office: Thanks to the opening of the driver examination centre in Lubań, the number of driving-school cars preparing candidates for examinations at WORD Bolesławiec will decrease on the roads of Bolesławiec. Driving licence candidates from Lubań and the surrounding area will learn and take their examinations locally.
