The incident occurred on October 23 in an apartment on Wielkiej Niedźwiedzicy Street in Legnica. The body of a 45-year-old nurse was found there.

From the outset, investigators had no doubt that the woman had been murdered. (Injuries indicating this were found on her body).

During the painstaking investigation supervised by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Legnica, the perpetrator of the notorious crime was identified. He is 38-year-old Legnica resident Paweł P. The man first strangled the woman and then robbed her of money and a gold chain.

Even more frighteningly, P. lived near the 45-year-old woman, but the victim and suspect did not in fact know each other. Everything indicates that he committed the crime for robbery.

The man was arrested and charged with murder connected with robbery. In addition, investigators applied for P. to be remanded in custody.

The suspect confessed and gave a statement. The detainee had previously been in conflict with the law and had been convicted of property crimes.

He now faces between 12 years and life imprisonment. (The 45-year-old nurse lived alone).
