The incident occurred on Monday, December 9, in the afternoon, at a shopping mall in Zgorzelec. A man entered one of the electronics stores and stole a mobile phone. The quick reaction of employees and passers-by led to the apprehension of the 36-year-old, who was handed over to police officers.
The man stole a mobile phone worth PLN 1,600. The recovered property was returned to its owner, while the thief was taken to the Zgorzelec police station. It turned out that the detainee had drugs on him.
What is more, it emerged that at the beginning of December, the same man had stolen two mobile phones worth a total of PLN 2,400 from another store.
The 36-year-old has already been charged. He pleaded guilty. He now faces a prison sentence of between three months and five years.
