Police officers from the Economic Crime Division of the Bolesławiec police headquarters, working with officers from the Customs and Tax Control Unit in Zgorzelec, carried out further operations aimed at combating illegal gambling.
Based on operational findings, they identified a premises where a gambling arcade might be operating. Indeed, the officers seized a total of five gambling machines worth PLN 60,000.
The machines were handed over to tax control officers. They will conduct further proceedings in the matter.
KPP Bolesławiec:
The seized machines had games of chance installed on them, operated for commercial purposes. Organizing such games requires a concession necessary to operate a casino.
Let us recall that organizing gambling games in violation of the regulations is punishable by up to three years in prison.
