The District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec welcomed a group of smiling children from Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 5. The preschoolers visited the police officers at their workplace because they were curious about where the uniformed officers work. The children listened attentively about daily service and with interest looked into the duty room of the Bolesławiec police unit. During a meeting with a policewoman, the children learned when to call the emergency number and what information must be provided so that the services know where a person in need of help is located. The children looked at a map showing the division into community police officer districts.
The preschoolers were reminded of the rules of safe play, appropriate behaviour when coming into contact with a stranger, carefully looking around before entering a pedestrian crossing, and using reflective elements that make pedestrians visible from a distance. The children gladly made a commemorative fingerprint and took the opportunity to see the police car from inside, sitting behind the wheel or in the passenger seat.
