The tragedy occurred on November 14 on provincial road no. 323 between Rynarcice and Lubin. Lubin police:
Preliminary findings indicate that the driver of the passenger car—having failed to adjust the speed to the prevailing road conditions (an icy surface)—lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the opposite lane and then hit a tree.
A 34-year-old BMW passenger died at the scene. The 23-year-old driver, in serious condition, was transported to a hospital in Lubin.
