The Lower Silesian police garrison has welcomed new officers. On November 14, in the regional capital, 85 police officers, including 25 women, recited the oath of service. (Two of them will serve at the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.)

Since the beginning of this year, a total of 309 officers have joined the ranks of the Lower Silesian police.

What requirements must be met to work in the police?

  • have Polish citizenship
  • have an impeccable reputation
  • not have been convicted by a final court judgment of a criminal offense or a fiscal offense
  • enjoy full public rights
  • have at least secondary education
  • have the appropriate physical and mental capacity for service in armed formations subject to special service discipline, to which the candidate is willing to submit
  • provide assurance of maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the requirements set out in regulations on the protection of classified information
  • persons subject to military qualification should have their military service status regulated.
