The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 5, after 10 p.m., on Chrobrego Street in Bolesławiec. An 18-year-old driver of a Volkswagen hit a 44-year-old woman from Miasto Ceramiki who was crossing at a pedestrian crossing. She was completely drunk, with 2.6 per mille of alcohol in her system. The teenager was sober.
The 44-year-old woman was injured and taken to hospital. Fortunately, it turned out there that she had not suffered any more serious injuries.
Police are investigating the case and determining who was at fault: the driver or the pedestrian. According to the driver, the woman suddenly stepped onto the road.
