Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters identified and arrested the perpetrator of a robbery based on the evidence they had gathered. (The aggressor threatened the victim with a knife and took his mobile phone.)
The arrested man is a 19-year-old resident of Osiecznica municipality.
That was not the end of it, however. The officers also proved that the young man had committed another offense—breaking into a vehicle and stealing power tools. The police determined that the suspect had sold the loot at a pawnshop and recovered the stolen property, including the phone taken during the robbery.
What is more, additional items that may have come from criminal offenses, including a boxing mouthguard, were secured at the teenager’s home in Osiecznica municipality. (The police findings indicate that the 19-year-old may also be responsible for three other break-ins of vans and the theft of various items.)
The arrested man was charged with two offenses. He confessed and provided explanations. At the prosecutor’s request, the court ordered his temporary detention for three months.
The person arrested is a repeat offender and could face up to 18 years behind bars.
