The man was arrested by police on Tuesday, June 23, in Bolesławiec County. On the A-18 motorway, officers from Wrocław stopped a Ford Escort for inspection. In the passenger compartment and trunk, officers found a large number of plastic bags. The driver, a 22-year-old resident of Częstochowa County, claimed that the bags contained rubbish he had taken from his grandmother.

The police checked their contents. It turned out that the man was transporting 150 cannabis seedlings and more than 700 grams of marijuana. Investigators from Bolesławiec are determining where the drugs came from and where they were intended to go.

On Tuesday, the 22-year-old was taken into police custody. Today, the District Court in Bolesławiec ordered his temporary detention for three months. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
