A Reader who had recently renovated his home called us, upset. And said:

Free waste sorting in Bolesławiec is fiction. MZGK will collect various things from you for free, but you will pay PLN 200 per cubic metre to dispose of wooden panels.

He also added:

And it is no wonder that people then dump these panels along the Bóbr River.

We asked the Municipal Communal Services Company about the matter. Here is the municipal company’s response:

We inform you that, in accordance with the Act of 14 December 2012 on waste and the Act of 13 September 1996 on maintaining cleanliness and order in municipalities, the Selective Municipal Waste Collection Point in Bolesławiec accepts free of charge waste that can be recycled or reused, such as paper, cardboard, plastic packaging, glass packaging, clean concrete or brick rubble, wood, etc., as well as hazardous waste, including expired medicines, used electrical and electronic equipment, thermometers and batteries.

What do you think? We invite you to join the discussion.
