Officers from the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters received a report of robbery from a 20-year-old resident of Lubelskie Voivodeship. The alleged victim testified that he had been the victim of a crime committed in Bolesławiec County.
The complainant claimed that, while driving people abroad for work, he stopped and asked the passengers to get out of the vehicle so that he could refuel and attend to his bodily needs. During this break, the man was allegedly attacked and robbed of money from the passengers’ minibus fares.
The police immediately took steps to clarify all the circumstances of the case. The result? Officers from Bolesławiec and Kruszyn began to have doubts about the alleged victim’s testimony.
The police’s suspicions were confirmed. They found the “stolen” cash in… the 20-year-old’s underwear.
The criminal mastermind, who admitted that he had wanted to rob his employer, now faces up to 8 years behind bars.
