On Sunday, five of the seven men travelling by minibus to work in France were killed in an accident. The sixth was seriously injured; he was transported by an Air Ambulance Service helicopter to a hospital in Wrocław.
The minibus driver suffered the least serious injuries and was taken to the Bolesławiec ZOZ.
The driver was charged with unintentionally causing a disaster in land traffic. Investigators requested that the suspect be temporarily detained for three months.
The man did not admit to the charges but gave an explanation. (Unofficially, it was established that the suspect's relatives—a father and brother—were among those killed in the accident).
The minibus driver could face up to 8 years in prison.
