The incident occurred on August 19 on Skłodowskiej Street in Legnica. Officers from the Independent Police Prevention Subunit stopped the driver of a Fiat Punto for a roadside check.
During the check, the man behaved nervously, arousing the officers’ suspicions. Indeed, a drug test showed that the 26-year-old was under the influence of narcotic substances. The man was taken to hospital, where blood was drawn for further testing.
Moreover, it came to light that the driver was wanted—he was due to serve a five-month prison sentence.
The Legnica resident was arrested and taken into custody. He may now face an additional sentence of up to two years in prison.
