Police officers from Karpacz, while carrying out activities including an investigation into the burglary of a discount grocery store and a guesthouse, determined that the person suspected of these offences was a 21-year-old man with no permanent address. He is currently being held in pre-trial detention, where he is serving a sentence for other offences.

The officers established that, last year and in January this year, the man committed at least four offences in the Podgórzyn municipality. His record includes the burglary of a discount grocery store, from which he stole alcohol worth PLN 900. He also broke into and robbed one of the guesthouses. His haul included property worth approximately PLN 12,000: cash, a phone, a laptop, and silver and gold jewellery.

Moreover, the 21-year-old is suspected of damaging a bus shelter and violating the inviolability of a home.

The man is currently serving a sentence for other offences. He could now face an additional prison term of up to 10 years.
