To mark Polish Army Day, observed on Thursday, August 15, the dean of the Zgorzelec Deanery and the Mayor of Zgorzelec invite everyone to Holy Mass at St. Boniface Church in Zgorzelec. It begins at 11:00 a.m. The service will be presided over by Dean Jan Kułyna. The homily will be delivered by retired Major, Rev. Prelate Jan Mycek.
Before Mass, representatives of local authorities, organizations and associations will—as every year—lay flowers beneath plaques commemorating the military units that were stationed in Zgorzelec.
In the evening, at 7:30 p.m., a patriotic concert will be held at the Church of St. Hedwig of Silesia.
