The incident occurred on Saturday, August 10, at around 1:00 p.m., in Kościelnik (Lubań commune). As the portal eluban.pl learned unofficially:

Firefighters returning from the incident, near the railway crossing located not far from the turnoff to Grodnica, heard something hit the side window of their vehicle with considerable force.

There is suspicion that someone shot at the fire engine, probably with an air rifle. The Lubań-based outlet adds:

If the window had been open, an officer of the State Fire Service could have been seriously injured.

Local police are investigating the case. Details and photos are available on the portal eluban.pl.
