Officers from the Economic Crime Department of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters, working together with officers from the Customs and Tax Control Unit in Zgorzelec, conducted another operation targeting illegal gambling—this time in Bolesławiec.
The officers seized six gaming machines worth no less than PLN 72,000. The machines were handed over to tax control officers, who will conduct further proceedings in the case.
Bolesławiec police:
The seized machines had games of chance installed on them, operated for commercial purposes. A concession required to operate a casino is necessary to organize such games.
Organizing gambling contrary to regulations may carry a sentence of up to three years in prison.
