The incident occurred on Tuesday, 16 July, before 8:00 p.m., at kilometre 68 of the A18 road in the direction of Wrocław.
The 26-year-old driver of a Citroën lost control of the vehicle on a straight section of road and hit a Ford in which a 24-year-old driver from Wałbrzych County and a 19-year-old passenger from Kamienna Góra were travelling. All three were injured and taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec.
The Ford passenger suffered the most serious injuries, including a concussion and maxillofacial trauma.

In addition to the firefighters from Trzebień, firefighters from the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec (two units), two emergency medical teams and several police patrols took part in the operation.
