The incident occurred on Saturday the 13th, after 11:00 a.m., at the 50th kilometre of the A4 motorway (near the Krzyżowa interchange).
The driver of a Toyota passenger car, a 25-year-old from Kraków, failed to adjust his speed to the conditions on the motorway, skidded, lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit a crash barrier.
The man suffered minor injuries. He was attended to by an emergency medical team.
The 25-year-old Kraków resident was fined PLN 200. The vehicle's registration certificate was also confiscated.
The operation involved firefighters from Bolesławiec (two units), volunteer firefighters from Krzyżowa and Różyniec, an emergency medical team and the police.
