The weapon-presentation ceremony took place in the presence of an honor company on the parade ground of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade. During the ceremony, a delegation of soldiers selected to receive weapons stepped forward from the formation to accept rifles from Lieutenant Colonel Renart Skrzypczak, deputy commander of the 10BKPanc, and proudly say the words: “For the glory of the Homeland.”
This moment will certainly remain in the volunteer students’ memories for a long time.
The soldier-students will soon take part in their first live-fire exercises. Before that happens, however, their theoretical knowledge will be tested—the knowledge they acquired during theoretical training at their home universities.
In addition, instructors will review the intricacies of weapon construction, teach the rules of conduct at a military shooting range, and demonstrate how to correctly adopt the appropriate shooting position.
The volunteer students face a demanding period of basic training. Under the guidance of the unit’s best specialists, they will hone their skills and learn the secrets of the soldier’s craft. The most important day of their service will be the military oath, scheduled for July 20 this year.
