The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 25, at around 4:30 a.m., on National Road 94, between Żarska Wieś and Zgorzelec (near a petrol station). The driver of an Opel passenger car collided head-on with a truck.
The Opel driver, a 25-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County, died at the scene.
The road is blocked. Disruptions can also be expected on the road between Bolesławiec and Zgorzelec.
The police and prosecutor’s office are investigating the causes of the tragedy.
