From 6 June (from 6:00 a.m.) to 7 June (until 6:00 a.m.), the Bolesławiec traffic police conducted the “Alcohol and Drugs” inspection and prevention operation.
Officers checked a total of 483 drivers: three of them were drunk, and 2 had had their driving privileges revoked.
The first person detained was a 68-year-old woman from Bolesławiec County, who was driving with almost 1.5 per mille of alcohol.
The next driver was detained in Brzeźnik. He was a 42-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. The man had nearly 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
The next intoxicated driver was a 58-year-old man from Bolesławiec County. He turned out to be the record-holder, with more than 2.5 per mille.
The three mentioned individuals may now face up to 2 years in prison.
