Nowogrodziec police officers caught two people suspected of attempting to commit a theft in the act. The suspects are residents of Zgorzelec, aged 30 and 27.
The perpetrators wanted to take advantage of the fact that the truck driver had left for a trip, leaving his private car in the parking lot at his company.
The “criminal masterminds” planned the theft in detail. In the trunk, they had prepared... stones, which they intended to leave where the stolen wheels had been.
What is more, it emerged that the older suspect had committed a similar crime a few days earlier, at the same parking lot. (And that is not all: methamphetamine was found in the super-thieves’ car.)
Both men from Zgorzelec could now face up to five years in prison.
