At around 1:00 a.m. during the night from Friday to Saturday, the duty officer at the Lubin police headquarters received a telephone report about a man with a chest wound lying near the Wall of Remembrance on Castle Hill in Lubin.

Police officers from the prevention department sent to the scene noticed a teenager lying on the grass.

Until the ambulance arrived, the officers performed resuscitation on the victim. Unfortunately, the doctor called to the scene pronounced him dead. (The victim turned out to be a 15-year-old resident of Legnica County).

The police undertook a series of actions that led them to three suspects. Thanks to cooperation with the Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters, officers arrested three men aged 20, 21 and 23.

The evidence gathered in the case provided grounds for charging the 20-year-old with murder, for which he could face a sentence of up to life imprisonment.

The two other detainees will be held responsible for failing to assist the victim and failing to notify law enforcement authorities about the crime. Both could face up to three years in prison.

The court ordered the 20-year-old murder suspect to be held in temporary custody for three months.
