Officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra arrested a 39-year-old man suspected of causing bodily harm to another man.
The incident took place outside one of Jelenia Góra's supermarkets. The 39-year-old was causing a disturbance in the store, and when the victim tried to calm him down, he assaulted him. First, he knocked out the victim's tooth, then he plunged scissors into his chest.
The attacker was known to the store employees because he had caused disturbances there before.
Officers arrested the aggressor an hour later at his apartment. The man was intoxicated; it is also possible that he was under the influence of drugs.
At the investigators' request, the court remanded the 39-year-old in custody for three months. The man could now face up to five years in prison.
