The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 8, in the evening, in Iwiny (Warta Bolesławiecka commune). A driver cut off another motorist, took his keys and notified the police.
The driver who was detained turned out to be a 47-year-old resident of Warta commune and was completely drunk. He had 3 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The 47-year-old could now face up to two years in prison.
This is another citizen's arrest of a drunk driver in recent times. Kudos to the driver who intervened!
