Officers from the Property Crime Division of the Legnica City Police Headquarters, working with municipal police officers, stopped a VW Golf on Wrocławska Street in Legnica.
The officers suspected that it might be a car stolen from one of Legnica’s streets two days earlier. The investigators’ suspicions were confirmed.
What is more, the 39-year-old man driving the Volkswagen had several packets of methamphetamine on him. He is a repeat offender well known to the police, having previously been convicted of crimes against property as well as against health and life.
The vehicle’s passenger was a 20-year-old woman. In her apartment, the officers found several packets of marijuana.
Both were charged with burglary and possession of narcotic substances. The 39-year-old man faces up to 15 years in prison. The 20-year-old woman could spend 10 years behind bars.
