Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, acting on the basis of operational investigations, identified and detained a man suspected of stealing a mobile phone worth PLN 1,800.
The perpetrator took advantage of the phone owner's inattention while he was carrying out renovation work in the building where the suspect lives.
The officers recovered the stolen property. It will be returned to its owner.
The 29-year-old resident of Bolesławiec could face up to five years in prison.
