The incident took place on Thursday, May 2, after 7:00 a.m., in the parking lot at the Tesco in Bolesławiec. Two men prevented the drunk driver of a Volkswagen from driving any farther; he turned out to be a 57-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality. (The men took his keys and notified the officers.)
The report was confirmed. The 57-year-old man had 2 per mille of alcohol in his system. He was detained. He could now face up to 2 years in prison.
Kudos to the men who reacted! This is another citizen’s detention of a drunk driver in our county in recent times.
