Police officers from the station in Pieńsk found an Audi at a property in the Węgliniec municipality, with two men well known to the officers sitting inside. (The vehicle was stolen at the beginning of March. The crime took place in Żagań).
What is more, it emerged that the 34-year-old was wanted by the justice system, as he has to serve a sentence of one year and two months in prison.
The second man, a 24-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County, was caught with drugs (32 doses of methamphetamine).
Both men were detained and taken to the Zgorzelec police headquarters; both were charged. The 34-year-old was placed in police custody. He will answer for the burglary and theft of the aforementioned Audi. He could face up to 10 years in prison.
The younger suspect could spend up to three years behind bars.
