At the Youth Sports Gala, 79 awards worth PLN 450,000 were presented. Among those honoured was MKS Bolesłavia, which scored 109.5 points in the youth sports system organised by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism last year and took third place among athletics clubs in Lower Silesia.
Another important distinction, this time for Bolesłavia athlete Gracjan Kozak, was the awarding of a scholarship from the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The official presentation of the award took place on 20 March 2019 in Wrocław.
In 2018, Gracjan Kozak won Bolesławiec’s first Olympic medal—a bronze medal—at the Youth Olympic Games held in Buenos Aires, and also finished third at the European U18 Championships. (The Bolesłavia athlete won both medals in the discus throw.)
