The incident occurred on February 24, in the evening, at the Market Square in Lwówek Śląski. Two perpetrators attacked a group of four men, punching them in the face, head and other parts of the body. As a result of the fall, one of the victims suffered extensive head injuries, which proved to be serious.
In addition, another victim, a Ukrainian citizen, had his wallet containing money (PLN 1,500) and documents taken.
One of the perpetrators has already been apprehended. He was charged with participating in a fight in which the victim suffered serious bodily injuries, as well as theft of property and documents. The man pleaded guilty.
At the prosecutor’s request, he was placed in temporary custody. He faces a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

The act was committed in the very centre of Lwówek Śląski, in flagrant violation of the principles of the legal order and without any reason; the perpetrators’ actions were marked by particular aggression.

Steps are underway to identify the second attacker, the perpetrator responsible for the serious injuries suffered by the victim.
