Officers from the Nowogrodziec police station received reports concerning two burglaries and thefts. All the crimes took place in February on the same property.
The perpetrator broke into a single-family home and a garage and stole various items, including a television and jewelry.
The third time, the criminal’s loot was... a commemorative cross. The officers recovered the memento.
The officers identified and arrested the suspect. He is a 28-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County.
The man, who had already been convicted, admitted to the crime and gave explanations. He now faces up to 10 years behind bars.
